Contact Packaging manufactures and supplies a full range of packaging consumables, covering the whole of the UK and Ireland from 2 locations, one in the West Midlands, and its Head Office in Lancashire. With its £500,000 stock holding and many orders dispatched in 24 hours, Contact Packaging truly is the One Stop Packaging Shop.
The Objectives
PRWD to provide a solution promoting Contact Packaging's most expensive products, pallet wrap machines, which will provide Contact Packaging with both high organic google listings and a comprehensive and professional online marketing tool in which to send targeted traffic through Google Adwords marketing.
The Solution
- the current Contact Packaging website is very large and will require a much larger redesign and development project planned for later in 2007
- with this in mind we proposed the design and build of a micro site dedicated to these products using a new domain name targeted to the products
The Method
- over a series of in-depth client meetings PRWD gained a valuable insight into the pallet wrap machine industry, ascertaining the range of products available and what is key product information for consumers and how consumers like to enquire for such expensive products
- a 4 page micro site structure was proposed which allows the site to give consumers every possible piece of information they are looking for
- key product benefits and specifications were promoted to help consumers determine how these products compare of competitors
- all contact methods were promoted along with a simple online enquiry form to encourage consumer enquiries
The Result
- 7 out of 590,000 positioning for key search term "pallet wrap machine"
- previously Contact Packaging had no exposure on Google for this search term
- average pages per visit of 2.9, out of a possible 4
- in the 1st 2 months a ROI of 350% directly through online sales
- PRWD managed Google Adwords campaign now driving over 40 unique site visitors a month to the new site
